h22a help
I just put a JDM H22A obd1 manual trans into my dirt track car which is a 88 prelude si manual trans. It came complete with manual trans, obd1 ecm, wiring harness, cv shafts, air intake tube, and exaust pipe. It is just mounted, but I have looked at the cv shafts and the old cv shafts are a bit to long and the ends are different. The new ones that came with the motor are a bit to long and the ends are different also. Now I know that what is causing the problem is the hubs from the old car and the trans from the new motor, and of course I will have to do some mods. So the real question is can I peice these two sets of shafts together, and have them cut down at a machine shop? Also, the engine set supposedly came out of a 93 Accord, but I can not find a listing for a H22A Vtec for that model.
I have looked up a wiring harness for a prelude that year and I'm sure it is the right one, but I want to make sure because I'm going to ditch the wiring I don't need since it is a race car. Can anyone help me out and maybee save me some time? Anyone have suggestions on a inline fuel pump and regulator, no tank just a fuel cell.
