H22A and boost
For those who haven't been following, I killed my H23a.
Looking at either repalcing the H23 or many people have reccommended going with a H22a. Only thing is, I originally bought the H23 because I want to turbo, and I've heard that they are stronger than the 22.
Are the internals stronger in a H23a? Or is it just the higher compression in the H22 that kills engines at 10-15psi?
Second question is how many hours should it take a mechanic to take out a H23, replace it with a H22 and get the whole thing up and running?
Gotta get these questions answered before i make a decision and buy sometime this week!!

no trying to figure out how to mount a b series into a BB chassis is the original part
it's one thing to be original, and another thing to bust your own ***** with a crowbar...

i've heard a lot of different opinions about the 2 motors and boosting, a lot of people say the h23 is better, but the people that have actually boosted thier h22's say they're fine too, either way they say the ringlands in the h-series go bad easily, but i say h22 because i'd assume you'd get more power with less boost since it has 30-40 more hp to begin with
not sure which is better but keep in mind there is the H22A1 and the H22A4 (the first being closed deck, the latter open deck design). of those the H22A1 (earlier engine) is the best for boost, no doubt. comparing it to the H23 though, i'm not sure.

Well theres the reason why you blew ur H23 and will probally blow the H22 also...you cant run 10-15psi on stock internals.....UNLESS you bring it to solid technology lol

So when did they stop making H22A1's? are they the ones with OBDI (or something?!)
I want to know so that I can make the right decision at the wreckers...
