Is there already a topic topic with pics to help making the replacement a little entertaing as this will be my first since im going to change the head.If so can somebody help out with the link to it thanx for any help

make sure you torque the headbolts correctly

I was told to do away with my head studs and replace them with new ones

replace them with ARP headstuds if you're gonna get new ones. I re-used them on my old d15 but I think you're only supposed to use them once. ARP can be re-used

ARP's are supposed to be torqued three times maximum. stock ones go about 4. measure them and make sure they didnt stretch

Always replace them. They're function is to stretch as you torque the nut down on them so you dont crush the head itself. Can you get away without replacing them? Maybe. Is there a good chance that you'll have to rip it all apart again if the threads were too far stretched? Absolutely.

Thanx ill b sure to replace them hopefully with arp's but being the holidays might have to go oem
