I used regular GM Synchromesh and it works fine for me. Do a search on the subject. There seems to differing opinions regarding the use of the friction modified and regular one.
show up to the parts dept, tell them to give you these parts
"Synchromesh ("round" bottle) - #12345349 OR
Synchromesh Friction Modified ("oil" bottle) - #12377916"
then tell them to suck mr. vienna sausage

I have heard not to get the friction modified kind.
I just went to a Chevy(GM) dealer and asked them for 2/3 quarts of GM synchromesh in the blue bottle.
It works great, no more 5th gear grind!

i have heard that the friction modified mtf will
wear out your seals quicker because of all the additives
so i went with the regular gm synchro

I switched to GM syncromech a few months back. If you are having some trouble with gears grinding, give it a try. My 5th gear was starting to act up, and my 2nd gear didnt want to engage quickly at higher RPMS, but after changing to this MTF, problems are gone. If your not having any problems though, stick with the Honda MTF.
i have had the regular synchromesh from the dealer in and after a couple of road racing events its not as smooth. But it still prevents me from grinding 2nd gear. My friend with the friction modified stuff says his is still smooth after several events.
