Default Glow Gauge Problems

I have a 98 SH. I decided to go put some new glow gauges in a few weeks ago. It says to put them over the old gauges. I did this but it seemed to be rubbing against the needle. So I cut out the old gauge and replaced it with the new glow gauges. This screwed things up with the fuel gauge and also the speedometer stops after it hits 70-80 mph. The tach and engine temp seem to be working ok. What do you think is wrong? Do you think I need a whole new gauge cluster and if so how much do they run ?

I rue the day I decided to put some glow gauges on my accord lol. Luckily I eventaully got pissed and just threw them away before I messed up my stock gauges. My best guess is the gauges are still rubbing your needles keeping them from moving, and I dont really see why you need to over 80mph too often anyways, unless your racing or something, but the fuel gauge is pretty handy indeed. You can probablyy find a used cluster on ebay for 75-100 or so. The thing about getting a used cluster is the mileage is going to end up being different, although Im not sure if its easier to adjust since unlike my accord the mileage counter isnt digital.

Glow gauges can rot in hell, they did look pretty sweet though

When i installed my gauges i had the same problem. Before you plug them back in you have to reset the gas gauge needle to E. You have to give it that starting point and then it will go up from there when you turn the car on. As for your speedo im guessing your still hitting the needle a little bit so i would suggest you use a type of rubber cement to glue the center of the gauge to the backing. If that doesnt work then you could use an exacto knife to shave off some of the bottom of the needle so you have more clearance.
I totally feel ya, mine look good but were a pain in the *** as well
