Good luck man. I would hate to be doing that transmission in the car </TD></TR></TABLE>

I just wanted to make sure the mount drivers side mount positioned the motor correctly and I haven't put the timing belt on yet so yeah i made more work for myself but it is just one nut and one bolt... The only reason the tranny isn't on is because I'm still waiting on my clutch and this was the only time I could use the engine hoist... And I like putting the IM on last so I can get to everything on the back of the motor easier...

i have a h22a4 with a rebuild i did to it, i needed to know what kinda compresion im running, and if its woth it to just change the block i have for one of these f23 blocks,
this is a list of what i have,
f23 lower crank, f23 rods
h22a type s pistons, 11:1:1 compresion
port polish, 3 angle valve job, ported intake manifold, i have good tourqe but i wanna turbo the car and i know i would have to sleeve a h22 to turbo it, i dont wanna push more than 8psi on it though, will the f23 block last with the turbo, and will it be more worth it, what should i do, considering all the parts i have, is there a combo you guys can think about that would help, and last and most important, i wanna know what my compression is at considering the rods i have and the pistons, i dought it is at 11:1:1, any opinions would be cool, thx

Thanks man I appreciate it but I don't think I need a hoist anymore... I'm gonna try and get the tranny/axles/shift linkage done today and then its a piece of cake form there...

I still don't know exactly how high it is going to be revved... I'm gonna have to wait until it is on the dyno before I decide...

And I am reusing my H23 tranny... Which is on all the way except for like a cm because I am having trouble getting it to sit flush against the motor... I think I bent one of the dowel pins... So I will have to round it out or just take it out, no biggie...

So that is for tomorrow than axles, shift linkage, intake manifold(which I have put in and out 1000 times already but for some reason people keep saying it is going to be a pain... it's not...)...

I've already trimmed the bumper and what not for the intercooler/charge piping and now I just need to fab some mounting brackets for it...

And I also just noticed that Pirate updated his sig with some new numbers... 183whp and 171wtq... That is insane... to Pirate

i had the same problem when mounting my h22 tranny to my f22b2 block, and it turned out to be this little nub on the block that when you use a f22 tranny it doesn't interfear, but if you use out tranny with a later model accord motor then the little nub gets in the way.

edit this is the best pic i have of it, its right in between the two uper moutning holes on the block where the tranny bolts to

Money... Haha, if I had money this wouldn't be taking so long... I'd say probably atleast another two weeks cause I still need my exhaust and some gaskets and what not... And then I'll get this thing tuned and post the dyno chart and a vid...

i have to admit i am jealous of pirate amd sam, i wish i had the money or the resources when i started my project so i could have gotten an f23 instead of a f22, but like pirate said you gotta make due with what you got lying around ,

i paid 150 total for my whole block

sam pirate what did you guys pay agian?

I paid $300 for the whole f23a1... In perfect condition with low miles... More than you did Tom, but I don't mind paying 300 bucks for a 2.3L 97mm stroke motor with iron sleeves...

After reading posts from Pirate and sam im really considering doin the F23 blck and h22 head swap into my Si. Loads cheaper and i could learn some stuff, plus most ppl arent rollin around with G23's under the hood, i like the unique feeling, esp when i know i built it and it puts down pleasing numbers.

I was thinkin of goin all motor f23/h22 ( h22 pistons), im tryin to figure out what kinda numbers i'd put down with that setup.

Any ideas?
