Default f22b

I'm looking into buying an f22b JDM Prelude engine.

http://www.jdmcustoms.com/f22b054.html

Theres the site i'm getting it from. I am wondering if there is a turbo for this engine and if any one knows could someone tell me where..

Since this is a JDM motor..the wiring harness is on for right hand dirve right?..This will still work in a 92 accord..I have an f22a SOHC n-vtec. The f22b is DOHC n-vtec. Will this swap work?

U can turbo any engine. If ur talking about a turbo kit from like greddy, I havent heard of one. Yes its swappable. Theres a few things u need to remove / swap over from the f22a tot he f22b, but for the life I cant remember. I remember one is the oilpan for sure, ive never seen a f22b shipped without a dented oil pan. Also ur gonna need the ecu, for a few reasons, one being it will run in limp mode because it has no knock sensor, and the f22a ecu will need one. But its a fairly easy swap

Turboing it will be the same as turboing an H23.

Also because it has iron cylinder liners, you can run forged pistons with out sleeving. This saves a lot of money and down time.

That's the best part right there.

Alright thanks for the help guys..If anyone has done this swap let me know more about it please. And i was also wondering...Are parts for the f22b motor hard to come by? or will most of the f22a parts bolt right up? Or will the parts have to come off of the H23? I'm only doing this swap because its cheaper than what i can find an H22 complete swap for. This way i will have money left over to turbo my engine

I had a JDM F22b in my prelude, the swap was easy as hell, just like a H23 with an F22 intake manifold... Most of the parts from an H23 should work, some maybe from the F22. Boosting this engine is a good idea.

Depends on what parts you mean. For bolt-ons, H23 parts should work. For internals, I think the pistons are about the only difference that you would care about. I would think that most of the F22A parts would not be useful to you.

from the head up its h23 parts

header intake manifold etc etc

you can use the h23 ecu and just add the knock sensor

f22a h23 parts are the same

Yes. The JDM F22b does not, however.

Ok..sadly i have another question....I know prelude axels will not fit my car....but will my f22a axels bolt onto the f22b? I was told the prelude axels are longer than accords. I'm just trying to get everything down before i go out and buy some f22b axels and they don't work.. sorry about all the questions.. this is my first time doing an engine swap..

I think in the Honda Tuning Magazine a few months ago, they had this complete writeup, of how to do everything, step by step with pictures, to get a JDM F22b into a CB7. I think you should try to look it up online or something, it would be really helpful to you.

::axels i cant help u with.
::compression is 9.1 in JDM land, i think about 9.3 over here, somewhere imbetween.
::Theres a few ways to get around the Knock Sensor:
1. Obvious; use the JDM F22B ecu
2. H23a1 Ecu; Tap block for knock sensor
3. Hondata/Neptune ecu, and disable the knock sensor

::The block is iron forged, so you don't need to resleeve to boost nicely
::Its basically a h23 with a lower bore and lower compression so...
:: H23 parts are going to lineup/work perfectly. As far as I know, everything your gonna want is H23 (or from JDM land made specifically for ur f22b)... Im NOT sure about the IM though

Leave your accord axles in your accord, and the prelude axles in the prelude, you dont need to do anything with those.
