Exhaust resonator or not for turbo
How many of you guys are running without a resonator on you FI cars. I need to replace my muffler as it just fell apart and am debating weather or not to use a resonator. I will be using a magnaflow 3' muffler and stainless mandrel bends for the exhaust set up. What I want to know is Will my set up be too loud without one. The engine is a D16Z6 if this helps. Any input is greatly appreaciated.

Re: Exhaust resonator or not for turbo (Mr.Death)
i just redid my exhaust. went from resonator to no resonator using same muffler. it sounds like crap without resonator. as for being louder, it didn't seem much different.

I am running no resonator and no cat, just a muffler. I personally think it sounds fine. It's a little loud in the car but nothing like what it was without the muffler lol.

Re: (tallyturbo)
3" turbo back on my old t3, no cat, no resonator, just cheap $50 A-spec eBay muffler; 3" inlet, 4.5" outlet. Sounded AWESOME-- very deep.. yes it was loud, but it was a nice, deep tone, VERY bearable.
