Magnaflow mufflers?

Magnaflow mufflers?
Hey guys -
I'm installing a custom 3 in exhaust system in preparation for a turbo project later. The local muffler shop had suggested going without a resonator and just using a magnaflow muffler. Seems like everyone here pretty much likes em, but will this system be overly raspy and tinny or should I just go with it? I know the exhaust will be loud until the turbo is fitted. Thanks.

they sound good with a resonator, very loud w/o.........I would rethink the resonator, you can go with high flow resonators that won't restrict power that much.

Re: Magnaflow mufflers? (ImprtTuner88)
I have a full custom 2.5" exhaust with magnaflow res and muffler. I opted for the 22" resonator and the 4x9 muffler. It is all strait thru design. It is actually louder inside the car than outside. Nice and deep tone. No buzzy BS.

i think ur installer is refering to a magnaflow circular muffler w/3in..in and out, in place of the resonator..this wont slow down the flow and further muffle the exhaust noise
mag. part # 12619 or #12649 ..both will act as good resonators
