Default Excedy clutch problem

I had the clutch/flywheel replaced about 500 miles ago and have had nothing but problems until I changed the oil and it started working fine for some unknown reason but last night I went out for some fun and wasnt very hard on my car but all of a sudden I went to take off at a red light and the clutch pedal felt like it hung and then the car wouldnt go into gear anymore so I rolled to the side of the rode and got it into gear and now the clutch works but instead of the clutch enguagingat the top of the pedal release it engauges almost as soon as you start to release the pedal fron the floor, is this a good thing or a bad thing???? What would cause this???? What should I do???? thanks

Check the master and slave cylinder levels.

I would bleed the entire clutch pedal fluid. Sounds like air is in the system. If that isn't it, your clutch master or slave cylinder might be on it's way out.

I'm guessing you have a 2000 Prelude. I doubt if they are bad. Mine have been fine and I have a 92 Prelude.

Possibly when it was installed for some reason the hydraulic system was opened and you have air in the system. Or the slave cylinder was installed incorretly which I have seen a few times. Or the master cylinder is leaking. Which is possible I have seen over 20 5th gens at the dealer I have done personally with leaking master cylinders look inside against the firewall where it come threw and see if there is anything leaking. Also one of the clutch/flywheel bolts could not be working its way back out. Just a few things to get you started goodluck.

I bet that you either have a bad slave cylinder or your throwout bearing isn't seated properly. It probably came off of the shaft or something.
