Default Evap question

I got my swap done in my EG and i notice a tube was not on the evap thing on the intake manifold. Would that effect performance alot??? I am getting tired of this swap already cause for some reason i have a hard time beating a 07 SI. And no its not the driver. We switched cars to see if he could drive it better and it still was the same. Could this be causing it???

do you have any idle surge or any other signs of a vac leak? that could definitely affect performance.

That's called a vacuum leak. Cover it up and don't worry about what cars you can or cannot 'beat'.

Yes, worry about how your engine is running, but don't worry about what cars you can beat in a street race. Fix the vacuum leak and then go from there...tell us what's wrong after that, read the FAQs, search, etc.

Anything EVAP related is not going to do crap to your performance anyway. Things you need to look at are cam and ignition timing, ECU codes (check engine lights), fuel pressure, electrical system, etc.

yeah... plug the evap hole (or just connect the line). you can adjust the idle by unplugging the iacv and then adjusting idle screw so it idles at 750... of course, it may not be worthwhile if you have other problems that are affecting reliability.

x2 for everything Hawkze said.
