Error code help :/
Well i got a new ECU and that was supose to fix a Code 9 problem i had. The old ecu was damaged so thats what i thought it was. Well i did a tune up changed everything poped the new ecu in and bam here is the code 9 again. I looked it up and it said CYP sensor.
Ok heres the question, is this sensor (code 9) able to be replaced. and if it is where is it?

the CYP seonsor is part of the distributer assembly, check that all your wires are ok going to the distributer, maybe even open up the dizzy and see if everything is spic and span in there
well i opend it and cleaned her out and still getting code 9. car starts up fine, but about 3 seconds after she starts chk engine light pops on and the car runs like poo.
The Wires all going to the sensor are fine as well. I guess that sensor needs to be replaced. I called up honda and they said i need to buy the entire distributor assembly, and thats like 300+ bucks. Or are they correct and i have to bite the bullet?

i have a 1992 prelude with a 1995 H22A prelude Vtec engine swap, and i belive ive located it inside the cap. Its a black curved piece seems to have 2 screwes holding it in place(not 100% its able to be unscrewed i havnt tried)
Chances are you will have to replace the entire distributer. If so just get one from distributer King and mention Honda-tech, I got one for an H22 overnighted for $200.
