Default Engine swap

Okay, another question . . . I love the looks of my '98 Prelude especially compared to the new Accord coupe (barf!) and will keep my car. But, I'm thinking of swapping the engine with something more powerful. A buddy said that there are some Acura engine/transmissions that will fit it and even the S2000 engine might fit. Anyone have any ideas? I know I could supercharge my cars H22, even turbocharge it, but I'd like to find a naturally asperated Honda/Acura engine (of around 250 horses) that would fit without modification. Anybody know if one of Honda's V6s will fit the Prelude?

None of those engines will fit without modifications. If you plan on modding your engine to achieve the whp you want why don't you just use the damn engine that's in the car to begin. As far as V6 swap, this too has been covered. Search.

S2k? V6? Patience young apprentice. If only you knew the powah of the H series! You'll see once you start searching around....That and the difference between crank and wheel rated power. Learn up.

Thanks for the opinions guys. Yes, I know the difference between crank and wheel rated power (I used to race a Sunbeam Tiger, 289 V8). I'm also aware that the H22 is a great engine and I'll probably end-up supercharging it. Any insight as to which of the supercharges is a best investment? I'm also looking into Hondata for upgrades . . .

If anything...Jackson Racing, but not exactly a light load on the engine I hear. That is all...

It's the Hernando dude again. lol

Yea, you should get a spare H22 and have it built and then drop it in the car.. That'll be your best bet.. And it's possible to hit 250whp with the H22 going NA. Curious, do you have a Base or SH?

I don't know who you're getting your information from, but I don't know many, if any people around the MS area your in that know much about the Prelude.. I used to live there and my parents still do so I come back often, and I didn't know of nor trust any shop around there to do any engine aftermarket/modification type work..

I don't think your in a area to have work done locally.. But I could be wrong, there might be a shop in Memphis that's ok.. I'll ask around to see if anyone I know that's still there knows..
