Engine Sputtering and O2 sensor question- h22
lately my car has been running like crap. if i step on the gas hard below 2000 rpm the car fall on its face and goes nowhere and the engine sputters. after it goes above 2000 rpm it runs fine. A while ago i got CEL 1 which i think is the O2 sensor but i never did anything about it because it went away. Could this problem be caused by a bad O2 sensor because its not getting the right air/fuel mixture?
Not to hijack your thread, but I've had a similar problem. Getting the O2 sensor and Fuel Delivery System codes. Changed the O2, but it didn't help and I'm still getting both codes. Since then I've changed the fuel filter, cleaned the EGR valve, swapped the throttle body with another one to get a different TPS in the mix. Nothing has helped. Mine sputters up to 3200 RPM's then smooths out. It runs ok when cold until the CEL comes on. I can shut the engine off and restart (now it's warmed up) and it'll run ok again until the CEL comes on again.
Can anyone help us with this???????? Please??????

Have you guys checked your timing ?? I had the same problem, but my damn car was running rich. Pulling the vac i capped off solved that problem right quick,
Check your timing first, Check your plugs. You may be running rich and in the process of fouling plugs.
