Default Engine shuts off while driving

Just found this forum, and am having the same problem. I have a 1992 Honda Prelude and it now has a new ignition coil, rotor and spark plugs. The spark plugs were the last thing bought and got my car running again but it cuts off as others have said. I read the trouble shooting from the other poster but since I am not a car person I'm not sure what the next problem could be. Any help is appreciated as I'm going on 3 months now of not driving. Thanks!

Check battery terminals, ignition switch.

Ignition switch x2. I just had to deal with this on my 97 SH. Don't know about your car, but Accords and Preludes of my generation had a recall on them. Good luck!

Thanks for the replies.

Battery terminals are fine as far as I know, just got a new battery and saw the person put it on so that should be okay. Just got an oil change as well and that made my car start up more smoothly as well...so I will check into getting a new IS, Too many car problems all at once is insane!

If it cuts off while driving and the dash lights don't come on then it tends to be ignition switch. If you can't immediately start the car it tends to be main relay.

Get a mechanic. Too many problems just to have a car start? Your oil change will do nothing more than make think you notice something when there is nothing.
