engine miss when cold
i have a 5th gen prelude with stock motor. when my engine is cold, and im getting up to speed it misses for like a sec. and then it goes away. it only does it one time. the motor has 99,000 miles. All maintenance has been done when i got the car last year i.e cap rotor plugs wires h23 maunal tensioner conversion, fuel filter, egr passages clean. one last thing i am going to get it tuned soon and when i used my p28 with a base map there was no miss. Any help will be apreciated.
when driving the most i take it to is 4k most of the time 3500. the miss happens with the stock ecu. its a weird problem cause when i leave work in the morning i let it warm up a little then as i start going down the road, put in 4th gear the miss happens then thats the only time it happens.
does it do it when its warm?
My car does that when its cold too, but its cold so I Dont really care. It works fine when its warm.
What else are the conditions. Is it freezing out. It could just be something that your plug wires are frozen.
