Whoahhhhh...Are you sure your PCV valve is connected to the fuel filter?? Try to post a pic of what you're talking about....

Are you leaking any oil or can you smell oil burning?

pvc to your fuel filter...hmm havent heard of plastic fuel filter piping yet but maybe its the newest thing....hmmm......

hmmm.....new engine/burning oil theory:
(gathered at the all mighty search page):
bad seals inside from sitting dry for too long......

either your burning or leaking....look under your car tommorrow morning and you will know if your leaking, look at your exhaust smoke when you start it and you will know if your burning....start it up and let it warm all the way, then give it a good rev, wait 10sec, then rev it again to like 4 or 5k...if it belches out white smoke your piston rings are shot....if not, then shut it off, let it sit for about 10 minutes, then start it again, if it puffs out white smoke when you start/the first time you rev some, then your valve stem seals are shot.....if it does either of these your new 30k engine is crap and you should look for another one....to fix either of these problems is gonna cost you big....for now try a slightly higher weight oil if your running 5w use 10w, that will stop some burning...but dont go any higher....

Wrong man. White smoke indicates coolant being burnt. You wanna look for black/blue smoke.
