Default ecu options..?

Here's my situation, with the jdm p13 in, the h22a runs with a bit of hesitation in the lower rpm, and throws a CEL.. the o2 sensor. I replaced that, so i doubt it's the issue. A few days i go i plug the p14 in and the car ran well without hesitation, or any bobbing, and ontop of that, no CEL. Initially i pinned the problem in the ecu, but then several ppl stated that the same thing happened to them and it wasn't the ecu, some reported problems with injectors. Now i have a few questions to straighten out my options.

i was suggested that i could hook a v-afc in to control the vtec, but then my redline would be at 6700 ish =\

does anyone know how to check if the injectors are bad?

would it be bad for me to use the p14 in the mean time, or should i stick with the p13?

thx

stick with a usdm/jdm p13. or get a p72 hondata s200 unit.

yes it would be bad to use a p14 it will run your car to lean and cause major problems. has your p13 been chipped or is wired up correctly? also if you had a swap done there might be other little things causing your problems. Is your p13 a 5spd or an auto? If you have someone that has a p13 that you can borrow to check out your car with try that.

the p13 isn't chipped at all, and the shop that did the swap checked the wiring for me, so i don't think that's it, we already tried to swap a usdm p13 in there and it did the same thing =\

if i chip the p13 would it make a difference?

i had the same problems, and i swapped in a chipped p28 (no knock sensor and no IAB control)...my car runs 100x better than before...knock sensor was overactive and basically bad, but never threw a code, only an intermittent o2 code....my ecu was good, but my knock sensor was bumping the timing down under 5500rpm and adding fuel, therefore killing power....it's a pointless sensor on our motors anyway....but a p72 will keep the IAB, which do need to be kept operative......i had mine disabled from the start, so i'm just gonna make do without them, but you will lose low-mid rpm power without them

i'm a little reluctant to find a p72 and try that out cuz if that doesn't work, i'll be down a few hundred bucks... is a s200 necessary witht the p72? or could i just find a chipped 72 tuned to my car..? somehow, anyone know where that could be done?

if someone has made a reliable chip, then you don't have to get hondata....a chipped p28 can be bought for less than $200 and it will work fine.......that's what i did and i'm much better off

the p28 is a sohc vtec. not only does it not use the iab's. but it also in stock chipform runs the motor very lean. down the line. a p72 w the s200 on it will be your best bet hands down. you can have it tuned to YOUR specific car. and there are dozens of features for it.
