Diffusers
If the rear diffuser is useless on a street car, then why did Ferrari design one into the 360 Modena? it has two sculpted rear diffuser ducts under the rear.
based on the some of these opinons, "the diffuse will be ineffective on the street" and "its useless under 120 mph" it sounds like you are saying why modify your car at all?; if this is true, then why upgrade the horsepower of your engine? because it doesn't take anymore than 70-80 hp to reach the maximum allowable speed in the USA. and why would you want diffrent wheels or tires? because your car came with 4 perfectly good ones...
and BTW, why do you need to save this guy some money? just because you cant see your self spending money on a diffuser, doesnt mean he cant afford it.

I feel like we are beating a dead horse here.
Why did ferrari design a rear diffuser...the same reason it cost 300k.
Meanwhile GM designed a 50k car w/similar performance #'s....
You do the math.

Can't blame them since they're one of the most sought after cars in the world...But seriously, I think the issue has been beaten to death already. The Prelude forum seems to have a more performance orientated atmosphere than the other forums (besides FI and Hybrid), so I would think that we can all help each other out, instead of turning this into another MC forum!
While I think that it's overkill to use carbon fiber for a rear diffuser, the fact is that ANY diffuser will help with aerodynamics IF DONE CORRECTLY. But if this is for the "show factor", then by all means spend $500 on a bling bling carbon fiber rear diffuser.

Please read the post again...in DETAIL.

But GM's car won't top out at over 200 mph. Nor is their quality very high (atleast from my view point. The materials just feel cheap when you work with them and the view out the front window sucks... there IS no view)
Sup guys... hi I'm the guy who started the post...
Not trying to start a fight and I appreciate the comments about me trying to save money. Thank you. For the record it is a street car... and no I don't drag race it... although I like added downforce for the handling (which I love... corners at high speed late at night... no one around)
I was just wondering if they even make rear diffusers for my car... I guess not and for a reason. But front diffusers (not canards) I do have and I have felt a difference on my turns and applying traction to the front wheels. Thanks again for all the opinions... and don't hate me... I'm a luder just like you... trying to be different without being ricey... I'm very educated in the JDM lifestyle (which it is)... and I try to live it to the fullest... all function. Thanks again.
And another note... yes I have see the pic that was posted... it's the HKS Altezza which is a race car with a whole body of carbon fiber... not for me because I have a street car. Thanks anyways and feel free to talk about it more... but all of my questions have been answered.
