I need to know what differences there are on a AT H22A and a MT H22A. (if there are any)
And if I have a body with A/C and a motor that didn't have it before, can I just bolt on the A/C when I swap?

 

Would have thought the difference was the transmission ? AT= Automatic transmission & MT = Manual transmission, not sure of the A/C.

 

yeah, but just wondered if there were any difference between the motor that is on a AT or a MT or you can use a AT motor on a MT tranny? (just change the clutch acce...)

ya they should be the same...

i think the power is slightly different because of slightly different ECU tuning and different exhaust routing... but very minor differences.

 

don't the automatic engines come with different spec cams?

I don't know about preludes, but I remember for awhile
Ford Tauras's (maybe only the SHO's) with AT were tuned
with an extra 5-10 HP to help keep up with th MT. They wanted
people to not worry about performance if the bought the AT.

the auto tranny usually has a 58mm throttle body instead of 60mm. Other than that it should be the same (other than tranny, clutch etc,)

 

My engine was origianlly auto. It now has a manual from an H23. Bolted right up. No diferences. -- You do need the manuals flywheel. ---
