what would be the deck height of type s pistons on h22a4 engine?

you mean compression height?

pistons dont change the deck height. decking and milling do.

deck height is actually the distance from the crank centerline to the deck surface. if you are trying to find clearance from the piston top to the deck surface you are going to have to measure it directly or you can guesstimate based on known values (clearance = deckheight - (stroke/2) - rod length - compression height of piston)

so from reading the FAQ you can get all the values you need for a guess

deck height of H22 = 8.643"
stroke/2 = (90.7/2) / 25.4 = 1.7854"
rod length = 5.633"
compression height = 1.221"

clearance = 8.643 - 1.7854 - 5.633 - 1.221 = 0.0036"


that is the clearance you would have in a perfect world. meaning if your block has never been decked and all other components are perfect. hope this helped.
