is my math correct on this dart block build?
So I was trying to figure out how close the piston/rod combo would be to the deck on my dart build and the answer I got I have never seen anything like it. Please check this to see if im doing this right.
To check this I used the following formula: rod lenght in mm+1/2 length of stroke=x.
then take deck height which for dart tall deck block is 226mm-x(above answer)=y
y is the area left between rod and top of deck and compression height of piston must be less than y or else it sticks out of the hole. To find out how much area you are left with you simply take y and subtract compression height. If you end up with a negative number the piston will be out of the cylinder. Ok now let's take a look at my setup.
Rod lenth=137mm crower pro I beam
Stroke=95mm brian crower stroker crank
Deck height=226mm
compression height=27.33mm or 1.076 inches as according to cp spec sheet
Let's begin the math...
137mm+47.5mm=184.5mm
226mm-184.5mm=41.5mm max compression height
41.5mm max comp height-27.33mm(my comp height)=14.17mm
Im left with 14.17mm or like half an inch between the top of my piston and deck? Wtf. I was expecting it to be alot closer with 9:5:1 compression. What's the deal here? Did someone screw up when I placed the order for my pistons or is this right?

Re: is my math correct on this dart block build?
And when I try using some online compression ratio formulas and plug my numbers in im getting 5.9:1 compression lol and one instance I got 8.9:1 compression what am I doing wrong here?
