Default Dc Header Install

im installing a stainless dc header on my 5th gen. is there anything that i need to know besides un screwing bolts and such. i mean i looks farily easy..anybody know of some trouble i may run into? if so what the best way to advoid it. any help is welcome, thanks for your time. (btw: searching is not getting me anywere its only questions about the gains not the install.)

Should be pretty straight forward.. You might want to get some penetrating oil to get the bolts on the stock header and cat off if they're rusted. A breaker bar or a ratchet with a long handle works well on the stubborn bolts.

It's not a must, but if it is on the older side, I would change it. Just because it is working, doesn't mean it is working properly. Plus, it is easier to change it while it is out of the car.

If you havent taken out the old exhaust yet, you should definitely pick up some PB Blaster from your local auto store. That stuff will save you many headaches. (Someone already mentioned penetrating oil, same idea here).

bolts are rusted like whoa...sence they are so rusted i dont think i would want to use them over on my header. (the dc header only came with 3 bolts and 3 gaskets...) anyone know the sizes of the bolts that i must remove and replace?

The only nuts you might want to replace would be the 3 that attach the header to the cat. Can't remember which size, but they're probably 12 or 14 mm, not sure on the pitch.
