Default CV Joint

ok i think my cv joint is done....i had an 18 icnh rim on the left side front and a stock one on the right for about 4 days bc on my right wheel i had 3 crossthreaded lugnuts, it started making a knocking sound then wonce i got my other rims on it stopped. But, now, my steering wheel shakes when i go over like 40 mph, and sometims that joint squeeks (not real loud), what is the worst possible scenario i am looking at to get this fixed?

One thing you have to think about is how low is your car? If your car is too low most shops recommend an extended center shaft because when you severely lower a car there is a possibility of the shafts pulling out.

negative. Lowering your car brings the hub closer to parallel to the trans/intermediate shaft. This in turn reduces the amount of longitudinal movement.
