I can feel a slight clicking/clunking when I turn my steering wheel just slightly to the left. If I turn the wheel further left or straighten it out or turn right, there is no clicking/clunking. I'm pretty sure it's one of my CV axles but not which one. I also noticed that I can wiggle my front passenger tire a little bit more back and forth than my driver side one.

Look under the car and see if any cv boots are leaking or torn and you will have your answer

or if none of the boots are torn or anything, then you can squeeze the boot so you can then feel the joint inside. but then again, it helps to know what you are feeling for.

and with the information provided, noise when turning left, i believe to be your passenger side axle (right side) IRC. oh wait, thats when going in reverse and turning the wheel. when going in reverse and with the wheel turned, you then put for force pushed onto the outward axle. ie wheel turned to the left in reverse circles, then there is more force then normal on the right axle. this will make what little clicking/clunking you hear more apparent.

or you can always go to an empty parking lot, roll down one window at a time, turn off radio and all other accessories, and listen for what side its coming from. thats what i do.

I've inspected all 4 boots and there are no tears. What part on the car is worn when you can wiggle the wheel back and forth a bit when it's in the air; CV or something suspension related?

I have heard that a ckicking/clunking noise could be a ball joint, check to make sure no leaks or tears on them, im not exactly sure how true it is, but its somewhere to start if your axles look and feel fine

Sounds like your wheel bearing is shot if you can move your wheel

But then again it might be a ball joint

Is there a humming noise when you go strait but goes away if you turn hard?

suspension related. or a wheel bearing as stated earlier. have someone wiggle and you look or you wiggle the wheel and someone else look. it is most likely a ball joint or wheel bearing.

but if its making a clicking noise, then its most likely the axle. unless its just a single click/clunk, then its a bad ball joint.

I don't think it's the wheel bearing, there is no humming noise. It's just a steady clicking or clunking only if the wheel is every so slightly turned left, the wheels are almost straight.

Tie-rod end.

Update:

It was my inner tie rod end on the passenger side. The ball was loose in the socket and I could move it in/out a bit.

Up/Down motion play: Ball joints; Wheel bearings (will very seldomly feel play)

Side to Side motion play: Inner tie rod ; outer tie rod.

Car jacked, supported securely with jackstands. Wheels spinning in drive/first gear, hand on strut spring: Feel vibration? Wheel bearing bad.

thats what i was going to say... i just replaced both my inners too.
GO GET AN ALIGNMENT! Once it is fixed
