Default Crank Case MOD

I was about to do the valve cover filter mod and then I thought that honda ran the breather line to the intake for a reason. Is it possible that the air from the cover have oil particles in it to lube the rings, valves, intake butterflies?

I would suggest to you to learn how the PCV (positive crankcase ventilation) system works. I cannot understand what you're asking otherwise I would try to answer.

The rings, valves and intake butterflies do not need engine oil.

I know but there must be a purpuse, Honda could have just put a breather on it.

The PCV diagram shows fresh filtered air coming from the intake tract, into the crankcase, and out the PCV valve to the intake manifold. It's much easier to have a simple hose than to add another filer attached to the valve cover. They could have, but it wouldn't be a good choice for a car company.

is it emission related in anyway? from the way i saw it which isn't backed up by any scientific evidence.. i thought the air from the PCV goes in with the fresh cold air so that it would fill the volume and still maintain the neccessary amounts of air to carry out the combustion process. (kinda like the dead air would fill up space)

The PCV system is part of the emissions control to route crankcase blow-by gas via a valve to the combustion chamer to burn instead of releasing it to the atmosphere. This design is not new and has been around for years.

thats right, but on WOT the intake manifold is not sucking in air through the PCV. the pressure is just pushed through then sucked through and causing pressure to exit through the breather side as well..

thats why over time you'll see oil build up in your intake and your manifold. if you attach a hose to the PCV and to the breather and have it going to a open atmosphere catch can you'll get good ventilation and prevent any oil vapors from getting into the manifold.
