Default cooling system problems

I bought my daughter a 1989 prelude si 2.0 awd, bought it in ebay about a 100 miles from our home. Had it 2 weeks no trouble runs great, it has 136000 miles on it,then last week she was on her way to school, and she noticed the temp guage going up so she stopped. I got the car later that day and it was a little low on water, and was ok on the way home. When i got home i checked again, the radiator hoses upper and lower were both tight with preasure. i purged the air from the bleeder valve, ran it again and both tight again. i have checked compression each cylinder has 148 to 152psi. The coolant will come out the overflow tank, no water in oil or oil in water. NEED HELP

any visible coolant leaks?
make sure the radiator cap is holding the pressure.
Make sure the radiator isn't filled with ALL water

and for future knowledge....its all wheel steer.
u raised a smart girl....pull over when it gets hot is something not all girls know.
