Default Constant 12 v source?

I got a power door lock kit, for my 92 prelude S, and it says i need a 12 volt wire, preferably from the fuse box.
my question is, which wire should I use? i know i should get a wire tester but im kinda broke right now and I would rather not get one unless absolutely necesary
thanx for your help
-Charlie

use the 14 or 12 gauge WHITE wire running to your igintion switch located close to the steering column. Ignition is black/yellow if you need that too. located in the same place.

is there one for the cigarette lighter?
Because i never use it, so I could just use the 12v wire to the cig lighter if there is one.
thanks

don't use that one..the voltage is only available when the ignition is on.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by Qveon &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">use the 14 or 12 gauge WHITE wire running to your igintion switch located close to the steering column. there ya go. the ignition power wire is always hot.

there's a memory wire ( i think its yellow ) that goes to the headunit.. however, i don't think its 12v.. you could try tapping that..i know it gets constant voltage but how much..don't know. Whichever wire you splice into..be sure to do it properly with solder or a real good crimp set + electrical wire.

google search a 4th gen wiring diagram and find the constant hot wire for the ignition. that's your best bet.
