Default compression vs gas

is there a basis on what compression you need to start running something other then pump gas?

its in the tune, its safe to say on 91 or 93 you shouldn't be pushing at 13:1


edit to add:
timing and fuel to control the blast is important. finding the right balance to run reliably and consistently is key to a long lived motor. on crappy california gasoline you're limited to probably around 13:1 maximum for a daily driven car. there may be a few exceptions but i doubt it

So im going to be at 12.0:1 Is it safe to run 91 octane or will I need something better?

damn that sucks here in nebraska we can pull up to a couple pumps in town and pump 100 octane straigt into the tank i hear wyoming is even better

but we dont have the emissions check either so you could drive a full race car on the street if you have lights and plates lol ive seen some pretty close to that
