Clutch Problem
I got an Exedy Organic Clutch installed last month by a reputable shop.
The clutch works fine: nice pedal feel, grabs hard.
BUT, when you release the clutch (on the upstroke) you can hear a clicking noise
at the top of the travel. Do you guys know where this is coming from? Its an annoyance now but I don't want to be doing damage.

It is possible that the release bearing is catching on the end of the "fingers" on the presure plate. Imagine, if you will, the fingers are pressed inward, so the distance between them opens. If the release bearing is going to far, the fingers can "catch" the edge of the bearing. This can cause wear. Try to push the pedal down to 80 or 90% of the way down, not full extension and see if the noise still occurs. Try the pedal in different positions (extension) to see if the noise goes away. Please not that this is going to be a hard issue to diagnos over the net and this is just a suggestion to help you out.
I would suggest contacting the clutch manufacturer first and see what they say. A "pedal stop" added to your floorboard could be a cure for this. This ia a fixed spacer that only allows the pedal to go down to a certain point and then stops, keeping the clutch from over-extending. Also, you may be able to adjust the clutch master cylinder to have a little more slack before engagement. This can take a while to figure out, but it can fix the issue.
