i have a 1994 prelude si and i was driving and i noticed when i accelerated it sounded like the clutch was slipping after i shifted then it wouldnt even go in a gear any ideas?

 

check your master / slave cylinder.. could be leaking.. simple/cheap stuff first

 

i checked the slave cylinder it still moves so im thinking it could just be the clutch because it was slipping when i would downshift

Whats the replacement part called ? Im using a hose clamp at the moment . Sorry for the imposition but im dealing with a similar slave cylinder issue.

my local mechanic looked at it and he said it could be the pressure plate shouldnt be to hard of a fix

 

I would replace the whole clutch not just the pressure plate.
