Check engine light!!!! Please help
ive got an 01 prelude with dc headers and exhaust and under drive pullys. My check engine light wont stop coming on and I was told I have a cylinder mis fire, would any of these be my problem and if so what could I do to fix it?
when was the last time you replaced:
ignitor
distributor rotor and cap
spark plugs
spark plug wires
fuel filter
Have you ever cleaned the EGR ports?
replaced your o2 sensor?
If the coil was bad the engine would not get spark so thats obviously not the problem.

Yeah, it probably needs a tune up. Plugs, wires, cap, rotor, etc like Blake said.

Probably not
The coil pack can be faulty and still work.
Its usally over looked. Cap, rotor and wires are usally replaced first, but when that is said and done, there is still random misfires, the coil is usally at fault.

I replaced the plugs and wires a few weeks ago cause I thought that was the problem, the coil pack is brand new, I dont know about the fuel fitler. Is it true you have to run premium in these things or would plus be ok?
H motors are designed to run on 91+, that is why it says PREMIUM UNLEADED ONLY on both the gauges, and your fuel door.
However they will run fine on less octane, but you won't get equal engine performance or fuel mileage.
It is worth the $2/tank to get the good stuff.
