spark problem
I just finished rebuilding a b18c1 and everything is in check I have fuel and it's in time, but spark on only one cylinder and last nite before I went to bed I had two sparking...so my question is what all and how I should test to figure out where the problem is the coil, distributor, wires, cap, plugs?
Step 1: Check the cap and rotor for excessive wear.
Step 2: Obtain a helms/chilton/any other manual and it will tell you what specs your coil and ignitor should be at so you can see if those are bad.
Step 3: Make sure your sparkplug wires are in good condition. (no burn marks or cracks etc...)
By then hopefully you find the problem.

well the cap and rotor and wires are practically brand new b/c they were replaced maybe 4 months before I rebuilt the motor and I know they show no signs of excessive wear, but in all honesty if i have spark on one then the internal coil of the distributor should be good correct? So it's really possible that it's the cap, rotor, or wires...
