I recently purchased a 2000 Prelude. I have had the car for a few months and I keep having a reaccuring problem with it. Not long after purchasing the car the check engine light and atts light came on. I took the car back to the dealer and they ran the code and said it was a throttle body problem. The replaced the throttle body and said ther problem was solved. Since then both the lights have come on three more times. Most recently was this past friday when they ran the code and the dealer said it was code number 99 and that means the car through a code and the car dosen't know why the code was thrown. Can anyone tell me what the hell is going on with my car.

 

Disconnect & Reconnect the Battery. If it goes away, and doesn't come back on immediately, then you'll be fine. The ATTS light comes on whenever the CEL comes on. Therefore everythign w/ atts could be working right, but the light will come on.

 

I have tried that already and the light comes back after a hundred miles or so.

 

You need to get the code.

 

I was told that the code was 99. I don't know if that is true or not since I didn't see it for myself.
