CEL code help
i have a '93 prelude, h22a. i recently just started running a check engine light that doesn't come on right away. it also doesnt stay on when i turn the motor off, but keep the battery on.
my real problem is that i can't find the clip to jump the pins so i can even pull the code.
i thought it's right under the glove box by the ecu on the passenger side, like every other honda. maybe i'm just missing something.
someone please fill me on on where the hell it is? and if you have a picture that'd be even better. thanks.

oh jeez. i'm lookin on the passenger side and it's pulled out to the driver side. no wonder.
and what about the code going off when i turn the car off? when i turn the battery on it still stays off.
should i wait till it comes on and leave the car on and jump it?

how are you checking your codes? are you checking it with your car on or in the number 2 position?
checking for codes should be done in the II position on the ignition. (when all the lights come on before you actually start the car).
after you do that, the link above will walk you through the rest of the procedure

yeah i was checking it in the number two position. i unplugged the sensor and cleaned it out and reset the ecu. i apparently cleared the code.
when you're not running a code, and you jump the 2P connector, what should the engine light look like? just solid on? or not on at all?
