i have the hks super mega blah blah filter .....i have a great idea for a cold air box...that i cant disscus yet ......due to nobody making them yet ..

short ram right now is useless with this heat ....so id like to build and insulate a sealed box with cold air extension ....any one tried this yet .....
how much does the internal shape affect the flow of the air in a sealed box....just wondering

 

the box you refer to will be in your bumper correct? if so, what is the point of it, the place for a CAI filter in the bumper is greatly benefiting from all the airflow and it is better to provide some sort of shield for road matter, but other than that...i don't know if you are talking about a heat shield box for when you have it in short ram mode...confused. I hope someone has done this before so i can learn from it.

5th gen have heat shields for the ram air intakes.

 

well this box i have planed out ...i will relocate the battery and the box will take its place ...this will allow for a straight path from the throttle body and not the bend around the battery .....the extension will go down to the bumber and it will be a ram air as such

 

sorta like a comptech icebox setup right?
