A/C Removal Question.
Can anyone link a walkthrough on A/C removal on a 4th gen h23. I searched and didnt have much luck. If noone knows of a walkthrough my main question is what i do about the belt that runs with the alternator. It looks as if i remove it that it will have some adverse affects
It is pretty straight foward. Where ever there is an AC component, just take it off. Compressor, AC lines, dryer, receiver, condensor. evap core, heater core, and blower if you want to completely rid the HVAC system.
As for the belt, just measure the length of belt you need for the crank pulley to the alternator and give that meaurement to NAPA and they should be able to find a belt for you.

The interior a/c components are a little hard to get to. But you the compressor, condensor, lines and mounts have some weight to them and can be removed easily.

BECAUSE IT DOES NOT WORK.......it's the wrong lenght and even worse the wrong number of ribs......stop posting **** you don't know about, every time this thread comes up I have to repeat myself because people can't search and other people spread wrong-information.
you need a 37" 6-rib belt
maybe we need a tutorial on how to use the search button

Ok so i was looking in the helms manual and it looks like there is on bolt i have to undo and it should just pop off. Correct? sorry about the small high jack but i think this is completely relevant to a/c removal.

The OP has an H23 moron. 5 rib pulley on an H23 alternator pulley & 6 rib pulley on an H22 alternator pulley. Maybe YOU should stop spreading wrong-information.
Edit:
And to answer your question, I did ask for an alternator belt for a 1992 Prelude S without A/C. Worked like a charm, asshat.
Edit 2:
And to prove you're a dumbass, here is my OWN alternator belt:

Again, dumbass.

Yes, there is a 10mm nut that holds that line to the evap core lines (near the ABS modulator). Once you remove the nut, it should pop off.
