Default brakes.. again. help

I just finished getting my car running (4th gen) and i've bled the brakes twice, it seems like all the old fluid is out, and no more air is coming out. my brake pressure isn't there though.. at all and there isn't any fluid leaking anywhere I an see aroud the caliper and the master cylinder is full. what Could it be? i'm going to look at my service manual in a minute, but I figured someone may have a possible solution.. maybe I need to bleed it again.. my dad said something about th ebrake booster and to bleed the brakes with the car on but that didn't make sence... any help greatly appreciated...

How are you bleeding? be sure and bleed in this order <passenger rear, driver rear, passenger front, driver front>

Also be sure to have your helper open the bleeder, then you press pedal in, hold it for a second, have them close it, THEN you release pedal..

If you release before it is POSSIBLE that air may be sucked into the system..

Also, after you have bled the brakes, pump the pedal like crazy with the cap off and air may surface to the top.. air still gets trapped in the lines sometimes..

Yeah, the rear brake lines are long and take forever to bleed. I thought I certainly had overdone mine, and the pedal still wasn't totally firm. Turned out there were a couple more little bubbles stuck in the right rear line.

Do it with the car off. Don't listen to your dad (this time at least).

I know this is an old thread, but ....

I am pretty sure I have to bleed the whole system EVEN IF I only removed the calipers in front. someone back me up on this?

or do I need to bleed just the front?
