brake light problem
is it the turn indicator or the brake lamps??
Brake:
if its your brake lights check out you r brake pedal switch some times those act up andcan be replaced
turn indicator:
try looking at the the switch on the steering wheel, move it around a little bit and see if you can get it to act up, most of the time they'll get a bacd connection, if it acts up when you move it around, that's your problem, replace the switch and you should be good, if not check out your flasher relay, some times those have bad contacts, and go out..

mine did the same for a while, and the light on the dash was on when there were no probs. It went away a while ago, and I am not sure why. I am guessing bad connections as well.
Another typical prob for the 5th gen. It is a touchy low fluid level sensor..... we all have it. When it is cold, the brake fluid contracts and when you hit the brakes, the reservoir level lowers.
Just top the level of the brake fluid off to the full level. If it is just a bit lower, you will have that problem.
