BIG problem. Need help
alright guys, i got a problem any input would be appreciated.
i just put my motor back in after complete rebuild. stock bottom end. and crower valvetrain with stock valves and crower cams. go to start the car for the first time and it starts up fine. i have no alternator belt on so i shut the car off, also to pick the idle up a bit. anyways start the car back up again a few mins. later to check the idle and it works fine. prolly about a min in the car shuts off(no loud nooises or anythin)
i figured the battery died so i get the battery charged and try it the next day, still no alt. belt cause i got the wrong one, and it wont start. I am getttin NO SPARK. and i cant figure out way.

well i got the wrong alternator belt, but if the battery is fully charged than it shouldnt even matter

I'll go with mgags7, you still need a little bit of help from the alternator to start it up, the battery is fully charged, but you still might need more current, than just the battery itself.

have you guys ever touched a car before?? you dont need the alternator to start ur car. or even to run it if ur battery is good. its not gonna last, but thats not what we are arguing now is it
