i use a ball joint separator. basically looks like a fork, you stick it in as far as it goes where the ball joint is, and hammer it till it pops out. i've done this 30+ times, no damage whatsoever. there is a puller tool that works too, i just use the fork.

I would just bring the arms to a machine shop or auto shop with a press, give a mech a 12er of cold beer would probably do it

my lower ball joint was fused into the LCA. i ended up mashing the end of the balljoint trying to press it out myself. i ended up having to take it to a mahcine shop. as far as i know, honda doesnt sell just the ball joint, so i had to buy a new knuckle. $170 + machining + $90 for a new wheel bearing because the old one was fused into the old knuckle . be very careful with the ball joint.

Holy cow that was no joke....haha.I only did one side tonight because I got off to a late start and the press I had wasnt working out.....so I ended up pounding it with a hammer and a piece of brass(long cylinder),and got it in there after about 15 min of gentle tapping with a sledge.Ill do the other side tommorrow before work, and then my tie outter tie rods next week, maybe.Any tips on those? They look tricky.

Outer tie rods are a breeze. Took me 10 min per side. You just need the ball joint seperator to pop off the tie rod joint, then unscrew from the inner rod and replace.

The inner tie rod is a bitch though.
