Where did you get your ball joint press? Or a part number?

Great write up

For anyone looking for lower ball joints, these seem to be good alternative to OEM

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...ZWD1V

Other memebers including myself have had good expriences with "bestsuspension/ World Suspension" before. I am not affiliated with them by any means.

I don't understand the necessity of removing the damper fork bolt and the strut bolt at the top?
I know on my 88 4WS all I have to do is unbolt the Upper Ball Joint from the UCA ( still leaving it attach ed to the spindle) and the outer tie-rod from the spindle and pop the lower ball joint and it gives you enough to take the spindle off.

If you don't, the pressure from the spring and shock will not allow you to pull the joint out from the control arm.
