anyone work at a bodyshop? help me!!
hi.. hope you guys could help me out.. I'm crazy over this.hehe.
I have a set of 2000 gsr tailights that was Painted another color by the previous owner, the brake part is still red and the reverese is still white..but everywhere else on the light is painted blueish(non-transparent paint) with clear coat to match is car. Is there any liquid or dissolvent to remove the clearcoat and paint without damaging the T. lights?
if yes, where can i buy it?
thanks

most likely( all solvents that I know of) any solvent that would dissolve the paint would also craze the plastic. I doubt that you will be able to do it. If you do find something let me know I would be interested in finding that out.

Sorry man, Jarrad is right. You would need some potent **** to eat thru that clear coat. Whatever you use wil mess up the taillight. Even if you barely get it on there, it will mess up the plastic. Good luck.

I would have to agree. Thats paint is probably stronger than the plastic. lol
But really, if you want to try mineral spirits, you can... maybe even acetone... but if you get it on the taillights, get it off!
