Adaptive One Pads
i spoke to a friend at NAPA autoparts and he says their best pads are called "Adaptive One". There a new type of brake pad that is a mixture of semi-metallic and ceramic pads. there about $55 for the front and about $50 for the back. im thinking about buying them because i need brakes really bad and becuase they dont sound too bad. Is there anyone that has heard any feedback on these "Adaptive One" brand. and if i should go ahead and get them since my friend can get them for me with his discount. thanks
i like ebc brake pads b/c they work good and plus i hate having to clean my wheels of brake dust all the time check out ebcbrakes.com dang i sound like a ad lol
lol thanks. im sure those are good, just like many other out there. I was just intrested in these since my friend can get them almost half price and sound good. anyone else?
as a fellow Napa employee, I can say that my boss put them on his personal truck, is very happy with them, and I have had no complaints from any of my costumers about them. If you are still worried about them, your friend should also be able to get PBR metal master pads for a little cheaper than the ADO. Also as a side note, the ADO pads are made by NRS i believe.
the ADO pads will be best for a daily driver, and will have less dust, and probably last longer but, if you are going to do anything more that some spirited driving on the road, I would go for the PBR.
i sure those pads would work well up front but for the rear i think you should save some $$ by getting the cheapest pads in the rear. you dont need good pads in the rear unless you like locking up the rears.

thanks for all the good advice. Also my rear driver side caliper is working partially. the car was sittign for 3 months after i crashed my front end and now ive been driving for about 2 months and the disc is rusted but the caliper is only stopping(cleaning off rust) on the inner and outter portion of the disc. about 1 inch of the inner portion and 1 inch of the outter portion is the only thing being applied on my the pads? do u guys just suggest change my pads cuz it is alot more wasted then my right side idk why. any suggestions?
when you do the brakes in the back, make sure that the slide pins are well lubricated with GOOD caliper grease, and at the very least get the rotors machined, or you may wind up with squealing brakes in the back with new pads. If you continue to get uneven wear, you may have to replace the caliper.
Unless youre actually racing your car.....Honda OEM FTW!
I won't use some Store's brands on ANY of my Hondas......I have been through so many aftermarket pads in my 11yrs it makes me sick. I have never been as close to as happy as I have been with the Hondas!
The only parts store stuff I use is their wonderful $25 rotors. Use for a track day and throw away! On the street, they last forever it seems!

He gave the regular prices, with an employee discount they are much cheaper (I think about $30 for the front). I can't speak for the ADO pads yet, but I have been running the Napa ceramic pads for about 15-20K and have not even come close to the halfway point on those pads, very little brake dust. My only complaint is that it takes a few stops to heat them up to work their best, which the ADO pads should not have a problem with.
