97 overheating
My girlfriend just called me and told me her 97 Prelude w/80k miles started overheating on the way to work. Are there any known problems with the prelude that might be occuring? She said it went up to the "H" on the temp guage and her A/C was blowing hot. It's been maintained very well, 3000 mile oil changes, etc....
Any help would be appreciated!

possibly the thermostat or water pump i would give those a check. If your mechanically inclined go out to the car start it and feel the hoses for the radiator. See which one gets hot first then you can isolate your problem. If its the upper hose its more than likely the thermostat if its the lower you could have a bad water pump.
first thing is check to see if the fans work, when u turn on the a/c both fans should turn on, if not there theres a big problem, secondly, let the car idle and if its starts getting hot and the fan rad fan doesnt turn on then its either the fan, switch, or thermo, when my thermo went the fan wouldnt turn on
