Default Vtec Issues..

[B]ok guys im new to the forum and i just need a little help here. i have 97 prelude with a jdm h22 swap, my problem is that the engine is not opening vtec after is driven for over half an hour. for instance i turn on the car on, warm it up, gun it, vtecs engages at 5200 rpm, all good, i drive it for about half hour to 45 minutes and gun it againg, vtec does not engaged. i changed my oil, used syntetic mobile. and still the same issue. then i noticed and oil leek from the oil pan like 3 weeks after the oil change. well went to the shop, all the oil had to be drain cause they had to reseal the oil pan. i notice when the oil was drained, it was black. is it sopose to look like that after the oil was change 3 weeks ago? anyways got rid of the leak, clean the engine underneath.i also change my sparkplugs. i fugured maybe is the ecu thats messed up beause if it was not enought oil presure, corrosion, or bad silinoid i figuered it wouldnt enagage at at all. i was thinking also about doing a oil flush, is that any good? has anyone had this issue? Please help...

Check the FAQs at the top of the page, there is a good link in there on how to fix your Vtec
