94 SI tranny + 93 VTEC engine= ????
Hey guys, I was told that it is possible to mate a 94 SI tranny and a 93 VTEC engine. Does anyone know if this is true and if so what are the pros and cons of doin this? I want to know if I really need to spring for a vtec tranny and if I will power.

The only reason I see to put the SI tranny on the H22A motor, is that you have so much power that you are tapping out 5th gear rather easily on a race coarse... The SI tranny has longer gears and wouldn't benefit the VTEC motor anyway..
A VTEC tranny on a H23 would be good for drag racing, but It would tach so HI going down the hi-way, your fuel milage would suck and would probably kill your motor after awile..
But yes, they can fit either motor..

That's the same thing a buddy of mine has modded his ride to. on the freeway,.....it's loud as hell!!!!.... annoying if u ask me!.... and yep gas mileage sure sux!
