I recently got a 93 prelude with it's original h22a1 engine but the block is cracked. Can I swap a h22a4 in there without problems, or can I just swap out the engine block from the a1 with the one from the a4? The inky problem is that my cars block has a hole at the bottom.

With an a4 you need a different ecu. Additionally if your swapping trans that can be a problem if you get atts trans. I would just get another a1 block

Theres slight difference between H22 obd1 and obd2 transmissions besides of obvious ATTS - obd2 oilpan has mounting point for obd2 transmission so you might want to swap oilpans to get everything mounted perfectly
