Default 5th Gen VTEC Problem

I have a 2001 Prelude...

Lately VTEC has started making a grinding type noise whenever it is engaging. Once its engaged it acts fine though. Im not really sure of what is causing this. I have recently changed the oil, plugs, wires, and cap & button. Oil pressure is fine. Anyone ever had this problem? Thanks!

Typically VTEC issues are directly related to oil. Whether it is Pressure, Delivery, etc. they go hand and hand.
