4WS question
Hi, I am looking to buy a 5th gen prelude, and I have seen a nice example but the guy has said that the 4ws is faulty. Apparently it is throwing an error code 20. From what I have read, this could be an easy resoldering job, but if it isn't, what else could it be? and is it likely to be an expensive fix?
If it is expensive, can the car still be driven? What happens when it stops? Do the rear wheels reset to center and just stay there?
Any help is appreciated.

yeah...it "locks" the rear wheels straight. But it can be a little hairy on uneven surfaces. It kinda feels like the rear end is about to come around on you. The solder job worked for me though.
I got a 4gen prelude with a 4ws problem...does anyone know what is error code 24...I check on my 4ws light and that's the code i been getting. I tried to solder the 4ws ecu and still get the light. when I reset the 4ws ecu it goes away but come backs on again when I turn the wheel to left or right..any help would be great ..thank's

Just took a look:
Code 24 means: Front main or Front sub steering angle sensor problem. Still i have to say you can find the testing procedure in the manual. You will need an analog mulimeter! and do the steps very precisely. Solving it going to be on page 17-55
